Buying property in Mexico
In 1979, with the help of a Mexican attorney, I purchased roughly twenty acres of land with three standing structures near San Felipe, Mexico, outside the restricted zone. At the time, the property had been owned for 90 years by the same family and held a $15,000 US price tag.
I've always been partial to the Mexican people, especially the beautiful Latina Women, and the purchase was my first attempt to include myself within that culture, if only on a part-time basis.
Not only has the property been one of the best investments of my life (now appraised at $150,000 ) but I also married a wonderful Mexican beauty who gave me two great children.
My wife passed in early 2002 and the children have now grown, gone to college, and become productive, happy citizens of Mexico, but the house is still there and so is the solice of country life I've enjoyed all these years.
I have NEVER had issues with banditos or cartel violence, only kindness from the neighbors of my property.
Mexico is full of investment opportunities and I suggest anyone to look into the country and it's property, if only for a winter home to get away from the American rat race.
And don't forget, the beautiful Mexican women are everywhere.
